The Fellowship was a production group that I founded with Simon Cook (Norman Cook AKA Fat Boy Slim's brother) in the early 2000s with the aim of recording an album based on J.R.R Tolkien's 'The Lord Of The Rings'. This was years before any news about the films appeared. People who worked with us were as follows:

We recorded an 11 track demo and made submissions to the Tolkien Estate about producing an album based on J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' along similar lines to Jeff Wayne's 'War of The Worlds' album. We wanted to get a well know singer to sing our version of The Road Goes Ever On with the aim getting a chart hit to promote the album. We also wanted to have a narrator and Johnny Ball did a great job on our demo, narrating text by Simon & J.R.R.Tolkien.s.

Unfortunately, a management company became involved with the project and it quickly fell apart, due to the fact that we were spending much more time on the business side of the project than progressing with the creative side, and were getting nowhere with the project.

For copyright reasons I am unable to sell more than the 3 instrumental numbers included here on this Digital EP. But I have made the best parts of the other demos from this project available for free streaming on Youtube on a no-profit basis for you to enjoy. Here they are:
